Ottawa, Canada – June 17, 2010 – SkyWave Mobile Communications (“SkyWave”), a global provider of satellite products and services, is pleased to announce the availability of GLONASS navigation in its SureLinx 8100 dual-mode satellite/GPRS data communication terminal.
The SureLinx 8100 with integrated GLONASS provides the flexibility to determine its exact location using either the GLONASS or GPS systems. Combined with Inmarsat-based satellite and GPRS communication modems, the dual navigation capability of the SureLinx 8100 is especially attractive to vehicle and river boat owners who need continuous, reliable and cost-effective tracking and communications capabilities for reasons of safety, security and efficiency.
The ability to use the Russian Federation's Global Navigation Satellite System for tracking and monitoring applications, emphasizes SkyWave's commitment to GLONASS, which is also available in its DMR-800L satellite terminal.
