As a recognized Communications Service Provider (CSP), SkyWave offers the DMR-800LRIT terminal to owners of cargo ships greater than 300 gross tonnage and mobile offshore drilling units looking to comply with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Requirements for Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) V/19-1.

 

This pre-configured standalone Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) terminal reports identity, position and timestamp at both regular and configurable intervals. It also offers a compelling cost advantage compared to existing Global Maritime Distress Safety System (GMDSS) equipment that requires upgrades or replacement. Inmarsat Type Approved to -20 degrees, the DMR-800LRIT is a ruggedized terminal that has been endorsed by all major ASPs for Long Range Identification and Tracking.
