A little bit about the role:
SkyWave’s marketing team is currently looking for a Senior Marketing Events Specialist with Spanish and/or Portuguese communication skills to manage tradeshow and event platforms, related marketing and advertising campaigns, online webinars, training and show graphical presentations, to support SkyWave mission and strategy. Specifically, the Senior Marketing Events Specialist will be responsible for:
Manage tradeshow and event marketing
- Develop show/event strategies, reflective of sales and marketing goals
- Manage and execute on tradeshows, conferences, training, webinars and assist with other events as requested
- Manage, create and execute on marketing promotional campaigns pre-show , at-show and post-show related to trade shows and events including:
- email marketing campaigns
- direct mail campaigns
- video productions for at-show presentation
- speaking presentations (ppts/animation/video productions)
- media show alerts
- on-line advertising/web presentation i.e., calendar of events, etc.
- creation of booth graphics & booth collateral materials
- Manage and execute on SkyWave event sponsorship and speaking opportunities
- Develop, manage & control the tradeshow & events budget
- Negotiate event discounts/advantages on behalf of the company; identify cost-savings
- Establish metrics for event ROI, manage and report on those metrics
Support SkyWave’s visibility, brand and image:
- Assure that event presence supports the overall Marketing strategy and goals
- Enhance tradeshow properties, updating with new technologies and innovation
- Identify opportunities, sponsorships, promotions for marketing and sales
- Interface with all SkyWave teams & offices to optimize event and associated campaign’s effectiveness
- Work with SkyWave Partners including Distribution Partners, Solution Providers, with respect to relevant co-marketing events.
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years’ marketing and promotions experience managing events/tradeshows, and marketing with an international focus. Additionally, you will also have the following qualifications:
- Excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills, strong analytical ability
- Ability to lead others by influence and develop strong relationships across the organization (Sales, Marketing, Functional Partners) to achieve the tradeshow/event plan objectives
- Creative thinker and fast learner, ability to communicate ideas effectively
- Ability to effectively translate company objectives into creative show/event platforms
- Excellent knowledge of show/event environment
- Owing to the international nature of the company’s business, international travel will be a requirement
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is mandatory.
