Ottawa, CANADA – 01 July, 2009 - SkyWave Mobile Communications has completed the transaction to acquire the GlobalWave Satellite Low Data Rate (SLDR) services from TransCore Link Logistics. Concurrent to this acquisition, Inmarsat has acquired a 19% stake in SkyWave and finalized the previously announced long term global direct distribution agreement for the supply of satellite capacity and new product development agreement with SkyWave.

The acquisition combines SkyWave’s strength in providing Inmarsat-based D+ and IsatM2M services with GlobalWave’s strong portfolio of power efficient products for trucking, rail and fixed applications. SkyWave plans to continue to support all product lines and work with channel partners to grow SLDR services worldwide.

SkyWave and GlobalWave customers and partners should use existing contacts for sales, support and professional services.
