All products are designed for use with the trusted SkyWave D+ or SkyWave IsatM2M network services and are backed by SkyWave’s industry-leading customer service.
A little bit about the role: SkyWave currently has a fulltime permanent opening for a Product Marketing Manager. In this role the successful incumbent will be responsible for driving revenues of SkyWave’s product portfolio. This will include the following responsibilities:
- Design marketing and sales programs to increase sales and market coverage, - Identify new market segment and establish contact with target prospects within those segments to verify assumptions, - Create value propositions clearly articulating how SkyWave solutions address channel partner and customer business requirements and challenges across key industry sectors, - Optimize the ROI on offered products by focusing marketing efforts in segments providing the best opportunity for success, - Delivery of differentiated tools for sales including presentation materials, return on investment guides, business cases, customer case studies, and competitive differentiation.
Candidates require an engineering degree combined with an MBA or at least 3 years of commercial experience in the areas listed above. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in terrestrial wireless data communication and/or the transportation industry combined with successful product marketing planning and execution.
Candidates must be skilled not only in competitive analysis, market research, and technical writing, but also in more business oriented activities like conducting ROI and NPV analyses on technology investments, and strategizing how the decision criteria of the prospects or customers can be changed so that they buy SkyWave’s products versus competitors. The successful incumbent will be a true team player who has the ability to successfully design and execute product marketing plans and operate independently. Superior presentation skills and outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and clients, are a must. Candidates require exceptional problem solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to deal with constantly changing requirements and priorities. Exceptional drive and passion are critical to be successful in this role.
A high degree of proficiency all MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required. The ability to take difficult customer problems and turn them into positive resolutions is a requirement of this position as is the ability to develop and deliver detailed presentations for customer meetings and training. Due to the international nature of the company’s business, this position requires flexible irregular working hours and the ability to travel internationally as required up to 30% of the time.
